Wyegarth Rigg, Ravenstonedale, Kirkby Stephen

An exceptional detached barn conversion located in the idyllic village of Ravenstonedale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, within close proximity to the Lake District and the M6. This spacious and comfortable property is immaculately presented and has beautiful landscaped gardens, fells views and a detached garage with large workshop.

The barn conversion has been recently completed and the resulting property is of exceptional quality, with beautiful character features and crafted fixtures and fittings throughout. Built to high contemporary standards with central heating, high levels of insulation and double glazed timber frame windows. An impressive double height reception hall welcomes you into the property, with glazed door surround and a superb crafted English Oak staircase leading up to a galleried landing. At the heart of the ground floor is a comfortable sitting room with Aga wood burning stove with stone surround and French doors opening the room onto the garden.

The property has a large dining kitchen of outstanding finish, with bespoke solid oak fitted cabinets and central island, granite worktops, Belfast sink and electric Rangemaster stove. From the kitchen, a step leads into a garden room/snug with French doors extending the room out onto the terraced garden. To the front of the kitchen is a generous dining area, also with feature window and French doors.

To the end of the ground floor are two flexible use rooms; the smaller ideal as a study and the larger front room would make an excellent family room or additional bedroom. The ground floor is completed by practical boot room, cloakroom and utility room with fitted cabinets and curved feature wall.

Off the first floor galleried landing are four generous bedrooms, two having fitted wardrobes and three with wonderful fell views. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room, with the family bathroom having a walk-in rain shower and luxurious contemporary roll top bath.

To the rear of the property are impressive landscaped walled gardens; a multi-level terrace garden with sunken pond and a delightful ‘secret’ garden with raised lawn, beautiful flower borders and paved terrace with arbour. Local stone has been used to create the attractive garden walls giving the feeling of outdoor rooms.

Across from the property is an additional gated plot with large gravel parking area, garden area with Harrod Horticulture greenhouse and an impressive garage building with undercover parking and a large heated workshop with mezzanine level.

Wyegarth Rigg is located in the highly desirable conservation village of Ravenstonedale, surrounded by open countryside and the Howgill Fells.
