Ravenside Lodge is a substantial and imposing detached former stone lodge which has been carefully modernised and sympathetically extended to provide spacious family accommodation.
On the ground floor the hallway leads to a separate dining room, and a large welcoming kitchen/breakfast room with open access to the cosy living area. Double patio doors from the kitchen take you out to the enclosed Indian sandstone patio area. There is also a useful utility room and a larger than average downstairs cloakroom with cubicle shower. To the first floor there are three double bedrooms, the main bedroom with en-suite shower room, and the fourth bedroom is currently being used as an office. The family bathroom is fitted with a free-standing Victorian style bath and complementary fittings. The main residence sits just inside the private gated entrance at the front of the site. There are well tendered lawn garden areas, well stocked borders with plants and shrubs, and a view overlooking fields. There is ample parking for several vehicles.
Ravenside Lodge occupies a peaceful setting approached via a private gated driveway, nestling in open countryside with no neighbours, yet just two miles from the motorway and within easy access of shops and local amenities. Located on a quiet country road, a short drive to the Motorway (M6 Junction 42), the border city of Carlisle nearby, just over half an hour to the beautiful shores at Ullswater in the National Lake District, and a short drive to the border of Scotland (Hadrian’s Wall).
