Getting to 1,2,3 The Knowe 
From Carlisle take the A595 towards Wigton.  Turn right at Mealsgate signposted Fletchertown. Follow the B5299 and at the crossroads turn left, follow this road for approx 2 miles, through Watch Hill and bear to the left, signposted for Aspatria.  At the T-Junction, turn left, signposted for The Knowe.  This is a big sandstone house on the right hand side with sandstone pillars into the driveway.
