1 Bedroom £235,000

The Garden Flat, Watermillock, Penrith Under Offer

A one bedroom period apartment with exceptional views of Ullswater and the surrounding fells. The Garden Flat is a ground floor apartment in Wreay Mansions, which occupies a highly desirable elevated site, with uninterrupted south facing views of the lake. The apartment offers income potential as a holiday let or would make an ideal second home, with beautiful shared grounds and all furnishings included.

Inside

The Garden Flat is one of four apartments in the original Wreay Mansion house, formally a hunting lodge for the Duke of Norfolk. A grand sandstone entrance leads into the ground floor apartment, with original stained glass detailing above the door.

A vestibule area leads into the open plan living and kitchen space, with solid oak floor throughout. The focus of this light filled space is a bay window, which offers breathtaking views of the garden, lake and fells.

The kitchen comprises contemporary black fitted units with stainless steel and solid beech worktops. In the living area is an electric wood effect stove and space for a dining table - for breakfast with a view.

To the rear of the apartment is a double bedroom and a bathroom with shower over bath.

The apartment was renovated in 2003 and benefits from underfloor heating in the bathroom and double glazed windows.

Outside

The apartment overlooks the grand shared grounds, with large lawn and traditional english rose and lavender borders. There is space outside the south facing apartment for a table or bench to relax and take in the dramatic scenery. The apartment has a dedicated parking space in the car park and both the grounds and property are maintained collectively, making it an ideal low maintenance second home or holiday let.
