Wydon Farm is an attractive stone built former traditional 17th Century Lakeland farmstead comprising a three bedroom farmhouse and three highly rated holiday cottages, set within eight acres of land, with fine views of Blencathra.
Approached by a private drive, it offers the epitome of quiet country living combined with a successful lifestyle business, located in the Lake District National Park almost midway between Penrith and Keswick.
Being just 5 miles from the M6 at Junction 40 brings a plethora of attractions and activities within easy reach, with ready access to all parts of the North Lakes, Eden Valley, and north Cumbria - historic Carlisle and Hadrian’s Wall. A peaceful oasis of natural beauty and wildlife, Ullswater, Derwentwater and Bassenthwaite Lake are all nearby and there is a local pub - the Sportsmans Inn - within half a mile.
A convenient location for walkers, it is a cyclist’s paradise - the C2C route almost passes the door and there are almost endless permutations for rides in the wilderness known as ‘Back o’ Skiddaw’. These commons, grasslands, fells and mountains are well off the ‘day tripper trail’ and offer marvellous excursions for all levels of ability.
