Getting to Old St Johns Church 
From Penrith take the A686 signposted Langwathby and Alston.  After approximately nine miles enter into the village of Melmerby.  Follow the road straight through the village and just before leaving the village, take the left hand fork in the road signposted Gamblesby.  As you enter the village Old St Johns Church is on the left hand side.
